Bulletproof glass is a type of glass that is optically transparent but resistant to firearms. However, like any material, it is not completely impenetrable. It is usually produced by a combination of two or more types of glass, one hard and one soft. The softer layer makes the glass more elastic so that it can stretch instead of splintering. In both glasses used in bulletproof layers, the refractive index should be nearly the same to keep the glass transparent and provide an undisturbed appearance. Bulletproof glass thickness varies between 19 and 89 mm.
Bulletproof glasses are multi-layer lamination units that are produced in accordance with EN1063 standard and provide protection against armed attacks. When necessary, the glass layers can be used as tempered.
Usage Areas: Bulletproof glasses are used in the windows of buildings that require security such as jewelery stores and embassies, and in military and private vehicles.
