Glass
Glass edges should be cut straight, and there should not be any nicks or flakes that would cause the glass to break. Thermal voltage etc. In order to reduce the risk of breaking and cracking due to reasons, it is recommended to deburr (band-lapping) or run-in the laminated glass.
Insulating paste (butyl)
It should be pulled smoothly and continuously, especially at the corners. Butyl weight should be 2.5 g / m on both sides of the profile. Butyl width should be at least 3 mm in the pressed unit.
In gas-filled units, the butyl weight should be at least 3.0 g / m on both sides of the profile, and its width should be at least 4 mm in the pressed unit.
Insulating and combining putty polysulfide (thiokol) / silicone / polyurethane
It should not escape into the unit from the profile edge. Thiokol / polyurethane gap is at least 3 mm and silicone gap is at least 6 mm. The design criteria specified in the project are applied for Isıcam systems used in structural glazing.
Thiokol or polyurethane gap should be at least 4 mm in gas-filled units.
Intermediate space lath (Profile)
Acceptable deflection in the profile is maximum ± 1 mm for lath size up to 1 meter, and ± 2 mm for lath dimension more than 1 meter. The distance of the edge of the profile facing the inside of the unit to the glass edge should be at most 15 mm. Design criteria specified in the project are applied for Isıcam used in structural glazing.
It is recommended to use twisted profiles in gas-filled units. If the cut profile is used, the top of the clip (the surface that will come into contact with the outer insulation paste) should be covered with a little butyl at the corners where the clips enter the profile.
Edge stripping
While insulating glass is produced with soft coated glasses such as Low-E, Solar Low-E, the edge of coated glasses; If it will be produced with polyurethane or polysulfide, 10 mm wide edge stripping should be done, and 13 mm wide if it is produced with silicone.
Insulating glazing units may undergo deformation depending on the differences between atmospheric pressure at the production site and atmospheric pressure at the installation site and the route passed during transportation. In order to prevent this, pressure balancing is done.
If one edge of the Isıcam unit is smaller than 700 millimeters, pressure balancing is performed on all such units regardless of the width / height ratio. For example, pressure equalization should be made to an Isıcam unit with a size of 1250x695 mm. If the width / height ratio of the Isıcam unit is greater than 2 or 2, pressure balancing is performed on all of these units. For example, since the width / height ratio of a 1500 x 720 mm unit is 2.1, pressure equalization should be made for this Isıcam unit.
If the width / height ratio of the Isıcam unit is less than 2, pressure balancing is not applied to these units. For example, since the width / height ratio of a unit with a size of 1300 x 720 mm is 1.8, pressure equalization is not applied to this Isıcam unit.
The altitude of the place where the insulating glass unit will be assembled from the altitude of the place where it is produced; If it is 1200 meters or higher and 500 meters or lower, the unit should be pressure balanced regardless of the unit size and glass thickness; If it is higher from 700 meters to 1200 meters and lower from 300 meters to 500 meters, it should be decided whether pressure balancing will be done by looking at the width / height ratio of the unit.
Regardless of the altitude of the place where the unit will be installed; from the altitude of the place where it is produced on the route it will pass while it is being shipped; The unit should be pressure compensated regardless of the unit size and glass thickness, in case it passes through an altitude of 1200 meters or higher, passes at altitudes of 500 meters or lower; It should be decided whether pressure balancing will be done by looking at the width / height ratio of the unit in case it passes at higher altitudes from 700 meters to 1200 meters, passes through places at lower altitudes from 300 meters to 500 meters.

Pressure Balancing Application is Done As Follows
The short edge profile (unfilled edge of the dehumidifier) ​​of the unit to be pressure compensated is drilled properly from a point.
A balloon or valve is attached to this hole.
A sufficient amount of butyl, external insulating paste (black and white pastes separately) is sent in bags or jars together with the perforated Insulating glass.
In the place where Isıcam will be mounted, immediately after the glasses are shipped, the balloon or valve in the hole is removed.
A piece of butyl that has been torn off is softened by heating on a screwdriver and the hole on the lath is closed.
On a clean piece of glass or ceramic, 10 parts white and 1 part black insulating paste (Thiokol, silicone, polyurethane) is mixed homogeneously and the butyl is covered.
After the insulating paste dries, the double glazing is attached to the joinery so that the closed hole is on the top or side.
The following rules must be observed in stocking the insulating glass units.
Stacking directly on concrete or earthen floor; It should not be done in wet and damp places.
Insulating glass should be stocked on pallets placed close to the vertical (at an angle of ~ 10 °) on the long side and sitting vertically on the pallet base.
Direct contact of the glasses should be prevented by placing a separator (eg cork wedge) between each unit.
The back of the units should be leaning on the pallet, avoiding point load impacts and single glass of the Isıcam unit touching the floor. Otherwise, swelling that may occur due to pressure changes and fractures may occur as a result of 2-3 times the force loading.
When stacking insulating glass of different sizes, small size glasses should be in front of large size glasses, longitudinal laths should be placed between two glasses to prevent pressing from the core, and the distance between the laths should not exceed 50 cm.
Isıcam units should not be stored under direct sunlight. Each glass that heats up with the effect of heat can compress the other due to swelling and cause fractures. In addition, since the colored or reflective glasses stored under the sun cannot be ventilated sufficiently, there may be thermal breakages.
